Journal of the Week:  Journal of Theology for Southern Africa is the featured journal this week. It is published three times a year, by the School of Religion, Philosophy, and Classics at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. Focus of the journal is to “encourage theological reflection and dialogue within the southern African context.”

The journal commenced publication in 1972. It is indexed in the ATLA Religion Database, and full text access is available beginning in 1972. Phillips library has the journal in hard copy beginning in 1989.

The current issue is July 2016 (they are always a little behind) and it is a special issue focused on Sexuality in Africa, with sections devoted to “Sexual Diversity, Gender and Religion,” and “New Heuristic Models for Liberation.”

Ebooks of the Week: The library catalog links to many open access titles, such as Just a Dog: Understanding Animal Cruelty and Ourselves  and Culture - Theory - Disability: Encounters between Disability Studies and Cultural Studies. These and many more ebooks are available through the online catalog!
