"Do not wait for a poem;
a poem is too fast for you.
Do not wait for the poem;
run with the poem and then write the poem."
Journal of the Week: Israel Exploration Journal is featured this week. It is published twice a year by the Israel Exploration Society and the Institute of Archaeology of the Hebrew University. Subject matter includes archeological research, as well as the history and geography of Israel and the surrounding areas. The journal is indexed in ATLA Religion Databases with ATLASerials, but not available in full text. However, Phillips Library has the journal in hard copy from 1950 to the present. Articles are fully illustrated, often with color images.
A few article titles from the current issue include, “Plant Imprints on Pottery Reveal Fig Tree in Hellenistic Jerusalem,” “A Note on Sixth-Century BCE Phoenician Chalice-Shaped Vessels from Judah,” and “A Hebrew Seal and an Ostracon from Tel Hebron,” all color illustrated.
Find these and other journal articles in our databases and online catalog.
