Moodle is receiving a flurry of activity now that the semester is underway. So far, so good. People seem to be finding their way around.
Here are some suggestions for avoiding Moodle frustrations:
1) If your inbox is being flooded with Moodle emails, you can consolidate forum posts into a single daily digest sent at 6:00am every morning. Go to ‘My profile settings’>’Edit profile’>’Email digest type’ and choose ‘Complete’ or ‘Subject’. Also, you can subscribe or unsubscribe from each forum individually.
2) You can control all your Moodle notifications by going to ‘My profile’>’Messages’.
3) Consider typing out all your lengthy forum posts outside of Moodle and then using cut and paste to post them. That will help you avoid timing out.
We have been informed by our support team at MoodleRooms that there is currently an issue affecting Moodle sites all around the world—not just ours—where Moodle is timing users out prematurely. The experts are working on it. Hopefully, the glitch causing this will be fixed soon. In the meantime, your patience is requested.
UPDATE: The Moodle timeout issue has been resolved. Carry on. :)
Be sure to contact MoodleAdmin if you have questions or concerns. We want you to be free to focus on all that excellent theological education you’re here to receive.
